The storm which brought a controversial statement of not happening of Indian Premier League has just passed away as the board finally decides to move the tournament overseas this year. Though the event of taking the league overseas had disheartened many Indian fans but others were happy that they could at least watch the exhilarating tournament which was previously facing a ban issue.
Out of the two venues selected, South Africa was preferred more over England because of many reasons and one of the main reasons is the World T20 Championship which will be held immediately after the IPL in England.
Eight cities of South Africa namely Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, East London, Kimberley, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth will host the 59 match tournament this year. The Official Schedule is yet to be released
